4×5 Portrait Assignment

These are the photographs from my third assignment in my Large Camera class at St. Edwards. It was a pretty open-ended Portrait assignment. I chose to step back a bit and include the environment in which the subjects were standing or sitting in order to add a little more context to the photographs.

That is all.

4×5 Assignments 1 and 2

These are the photos from my first two assignments in my Large Camera class.
All images were taken with a 4×5 Toyo Field view camera.

The first four photographs were from the first assignment, which was called Urban Anthropology.
The intention was to show signs of culture without having people in the photographs.
For this assignment, I went into alleyways and behind stores to photograph the things that people hide, which, in my opinion, are an accurate display of culture.

The second assignment was focused on close-up shots.
For this one, I went with a southern music theme, and focused on wooden objects.

Thanks for checking them out.
